Is it Secure?
Today with internet shops appearing all over the net, how do you know which ones
to trust or even if the website it self is secure, are your card details safe?
The most basic tips you can follow are..
1. If the website does not display a padlock or say anything about ssl secured
when your typing your card details in
then dont do it . The truth is that if its not SSL secured then anyone could
get hold of your details.
2. Do not buy from online shops you would consider to look suspect, such as amazingly
low price etc
Sometimes things are to good to be true..
3. I would always recomend virus checking your computer and maybe even using
a firewall before typing your card details in. Its not always the website or company
at fault, if you have a virus on your computer then there is nothing that a SSL
sercured website can do, it may be secure at the websites end, but its not at
your end.
I would suggest these

Firewall: Http://www.norton.com
Some facts about online ordering
The common thought of someone stealing your card details is that someone is watching
you while you typing your card details and order. That is not always true, infact
most of the time hackers will steal a whole websites orders history, which include
everyones card details who has ever shopped there. Why would they waste their
time getting one card number when they can have lots. There is so much focus on
when you are infact making the order, that everyone has forgot about the long
term facts and the background. You would be amazed of how many online shops keep
your details online, for months if not years.
Anyone who says they are 100% secure is wrong, thats impossible
I hope I havent scared you into never shopping online again, but if I have
